Tree murals are one of the things we get asked for all the time. Therefore, we have decided to dedicate a gallery to one of our most popular subjects, trees! Luckily for us they are one of our favourite things to paint. From a simple cherry blossom branch to a full sized tree. We have painted tree wall murals from the bottom of the stairs all the way up to the roof, filling the entire space with colour and life.
Nursery murals quite often have a tree painted in a corner, with popular children’s storybook characters in, or around the tree.
Many of our children’s murals have trees either side of the wall framing the mural. Tree branches framing the scene helps to add depth to the mural and softens the edges of the painting.
We can paint just part of a tree on one wall, or carry right on up to the ceiling and across the room! This is a great idea if you want to create a cosy nook in a corner of a room, creating ideal reading areas for schools and libraries.
Woodland and Enchanted forests
Add more trees to your mural and you have a woodland. A light woodland, filled with birds and wildlife is a calming space, perfect for studying or quiet contemplation. Go a little darker and exchange the wildlife for fairies, magical creatures and toadstools. Now your woodland is an enchanted forest! A wonderous world of make believe and adventure for imaginative minds.
Chinoiserie style tree murals
One of the more unusual depictions of trees in wall murals are the chinoiserie style murals. Quite often painted using golds or metallics. These are more of a feature wall, almost a pattern more than a traditional scene. Working beautifully with blossom trees such as cherry or magnolia, and sometimes featuring birds. Chinoiserie murals are a timeless classic that fit perfectly in a period home.
